Good Business Ideas, Keys to Success, Top Tips When Starting out in Business, and How to Overcome Difficult Seasons

Thanks to the GUIDED Network I’ve been able to connect with some incredible women and have even been offered some special opportunities to collaborate. When I connected with Melanie, the founder of Mama What’s Next?, we felt that both of us could offer a unique perspective to each other's audience (read her guest blog post here!) Melanie asked me if I'd be interested in being interviewed, and I was appreciative of the opportunity.

Little did I know that one of her questions would encourage me to share more than I had initially intended. The truth was when she asked, "Have you once been at a point where you didn’t know if you should continue on or not? Where everything just seemed too hard? What did you do?" There was only one way for me to answer it and that ended up becoming the headline! Read the full interview here—How I Finally Found Peace When I Opened My Heart To God's Love

In this post, I’m sharing some of my insights offered in the interview concerning how to build a strong brand that aligns with your integrity, solve real (and common) problems, and build a loyal and genuine community for your business.

Here are a few topics I explore in the featured interview:

Do you know how to differentiate a good business idea from a bad choice?

One of the topics I explored in the interview was identifying truly aligned business ideas rather than settling for what's popular but will most likely leave you with a bad taste in your mouth. What's your true definition of success, and are you looking to innovate or impersonate? Can you resist the pull of more likes and follows and stay true to your meaningful intent?

Mama What’s Next: Do you think that good business ideas happen by chance, being at the right time at the right place? Faddis:At this stage in my life and career, I’d say that it depends on how you define good. If your definition of good is lucrative and popular (or widely accepted), then you can follow a standard formula and experience some success. There will always be an audience for the expected, but if you’re looking to innovate and bring something new to the world, the path has yet to be paved and requires you to invest the time into exploring your most heartfelt and honest definition of success. A good business idea can end up being a bad choice if you’re not aligned with what you have built.” Denise Faddis: “How I Finally Found Peace When I Opened My Heart To God's Love” Mama What’s Next? Entrepreneurship will shine a light on everywhere you’re incongruent. Quality leadership requires inner congruency.

Are you afraid to “fail” —or can you enjoy experimentation that leads to innovation?

Are you just starting in business or entrepreneurship? Get my top three tips and some honest insights about what that path might look like and metrics that won't lead you on an endless path of striving. Contentment and business can coexist.

Are you ready to lead?

Authentic leadership is anything but convenient. When's the last time you wanted to follow a leader who was inconsistent, lukewarm, and lacked conviction? In the interview, I explore the reality of entrepreneurship and what it takes to share meaningful work and build a solid foundation that encourages an aligned community.

Are you secure enough in your service to be open to respectful dissent and brainstorming that can take your business to the next level?

In a world full of people (and AI) who are more than happy to validate and confirm but are less likely to challenge, respectful dissent is more valuable than ever.

Mama What’s Next: Who do you help and how? Faddis:If you are accustomed to doing it all yourself, receiving support can be the most challenging AND impactful step you can take. High achievers, leaders, entrepreneurs, and industrious creatives know how to get things done; they don’t stand on the sidelines and watch others build their dreams. Unfortunately, they can plateau because of their aversion to trusting and receiving support. I know, because I’m wired the same way. You like your freedom. You resist formulas. You don’t want to be told what to do. You can’t help but cringe when you witness others letting everyone else do it for them.” Denise Faddis: “How I Finally Found Peace When I Opened My Heart To God's Love” Elsbeth, M. Does fear get the best of you and stop you in your tracks before you're able to gain momentum?

You’re not alone, but there are powerful and practical steps that can help you move past common fears that hold back talented, capable, and effective entrepreneurs, creatives, and leaders— those who our world needs more than ever.

Are you in a season of transition? Are you feeling called to create something new, or are you being led away from a past career or interest? Are things simply not going the way you had hoped?

If so, this might be a beautiful calling to something more meaningful and fulfilling than you ever could have imagined. This season of transition is most likely pulling you towards a next level of service, business, and leadership like never before. I know firsthand that it's not easy, and I certainly don't have all the answers, but I have met a mentor who has exceeded all expectations. I’m also here to support you however I can! Much love, Denise
